- Oxidative coupling of feruloyl-hemiceulloses in cell-suspension cultures.
Diferulate linkages have long been known to exist in vivo. However, as yet there has been no unequivocal proof whether this type of group exists between two different polysaccharide chains (intermolecular linkage) or within a single polysaccharide chain (intermolecular linkage). I aim to develop an isotopic labelling method that will test the existance of the interpolymeric linkage in the cell wall.
